Acute hepatitis in children has not been reported in China.

 The National Health Commission said over the weekend that while China has not reported any cases of acute hepatitis of unknown origin in children, health authorities and medical institutions are closely monitoring the disease after similar cases in the United States and other countries were recently identified. The commission stated in a statement on Saturday that the experience acquired from battling the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as enhanced public health awareness among Chinese people, had helped moderate the new sickness. According to the commission, the sickness has affected youngsters aged one month to sixteen years, with the majority of those under the age of ten showing symptoms such as jaundice, nausea, stomach discomfort, and exhaustion. The majority of the time, youngsters are unaffected by high temperatures.
